Fietszijspan cares greatly about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Fietszijspan. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 09/02/2024. With the publication of a new version, all previous versions cease to be valid. This privacy policy describes what information we collect about you, what this information is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your information, how we protect your information from misuse, and what rights you have with regard to the personal information you provide to us.

Webshop Trustmark

We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide your name, place of residence, and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your orders. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name and place of residence on its own website. In some cases, this may WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide an explanation for your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They only use this information for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties for the purpose of providing its services. For this purpose, we have engaged WebwinkelKeur permission granted. All the above-mentioned safeguards with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties. 

 

Online shop software

WooCommerce

Our online shop has been developed using WooCommerce software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data in order to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, WooCommerce is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group in order to further improve its services.

Web hosting

Hostinger

We purchase web hosting and email services from Hostinger. Hostinger processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Hostinger has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. Hostinger is bound by a confidentiality agreement.

Hostinger

We use Hostinger's services for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Hostinger does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie

We use the Mollie platform to process (part of) the payments in our online shop. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence details and your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. All the above-mentioned safeguards with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which it engages third parties. Mollie does not retain your data for longer than is permitted by law.

Shipping and logistics

Scandinavian Sidebike and carrier

When you place an order with us, the package will be delivered to you by a carrier chosen by Scandinavian Sidebike (the manufacturer). In most cases, this is DHL. For this purpose, it is necessary for us to share your name, address and place of residence details with Scandinavian Sidebike and the carrier. The aforementioned parties will only use this information for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that the carrier of Scandinavian Sidebike engages subcontractors, the carrier will also make your details available to these parties.

Invoicing and bookkeeping

MoneyBird

We use the services of MoneyBird for our administration and accounting. We share your name, address and place of residence details and details relating to your order. This information is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is sent and stored securely. MoneyBird has taken the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. MoneyBird is bound by a duty of confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. MoneyBird will not use your personal data for any purposes other than those described above.  

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services and possibly for (targeted) marketing of future products from Fietszijspan. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data collected automatically by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

In certain cases, Fietszijspan may be required by law to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by the government. In such cases, we are obliged to share your data, but we will oppose this within the limits of the law.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we retain your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also consider this as a request to be forgotten. This also means that we will not retain your data for longer than two years from the last contact or transaction, unless there is a legal justification for doing so. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees will no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced in response to your assignment.

Your rights

Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we will only send copies and duplicates of your data to your email address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of completed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we administer anonymised data. You will receive all copies and duplicates of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data in an incorrect manner.

You always have the right to view the data that we process (or have processed) that relate to you or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on file, along with an overview of the processors who have this data in their possession, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you, modified. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been modified to the email address we have on file.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data that we process (or have processed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to portability

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you, carried out by another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties to the e-mail address known to us. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, because the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights
