The sidecar is suitable for over 80% of all bicycles, e-bikes and fat bikes. Thanks to its clever design, you can attach or detach the sidecar in just 30 seconds. This allows you to decide whether to ride with or without the sidecar on your own trusted bicycle.

Easy driving

Is riding with a sidecar difficult? Certainly not! Of course, it takes some getting used to at first. This is the lightest sidecar available. It is designed to pivot independently of the bicycle, making riding feel natural and familiar right away.

Travel with peace of mind

Safety comes first. Riding a sidecar is no more dangerous than riding a cargo bike/bike trailer or a bicycle with a child seat, but it is otherwise. The big advantage is that your child is sitting right next to you. This gives you peace of mind. You always have direct eye contact and always cross the road at the same time. That feels safer than a bicycle trailer behind you.  

Safety and security

  • Secure the sidecar quickly and easily with the safety pin.
  • Your child or dog is sitting next to you. So you always cross the road together.
  • The 5-point safety harness is mandatory (max. 2 children) and we recommend a CE-approved bicycle helmet.
  • Ensure that your bicycle is safe, with sufficient braking power and lights on the sidecar.
  • Maximum load weight is 45 kg (35 kg for the Sidebike Mini).

Scandinavian Sidebike products are suitable for all 80% (electric) bicycles and fat bikes on the market. However, there are a number of conditions that must be met before a sidecar may be used.
